Shane Byrne, on board of his Ducati Panigale 1299, becomes champion of the British Superbike Championship for the second consecutive year. Protagonist of the British motorcycling, Shakey competed for the title with Haslam and Brookes. But the coup de théatre of the sixth turn subverted the balance of the Race 3: Leon Haslam ran off the track after a ruinous fall and Byrne’s Panigale gained ground.
After taking the top step on the podium in the two previous competitions, the centaur of BeWiser Ducati crossed the finish line in eighth place during the Race 3 of Showdown hosted at Brands Hatch and winning the MCE British Superbike Championship with 3-point lead on Brookes. Shane Byrne renews the success of BeWiser Ducati team and gets his sixth title in BSB.
