As in 2015 and 2017, the combination of Ducati Panigale R and Marco Barnabò’s team is a winning one!
The party is all at “Barni” home, being the vice champion Matteo Ferrari, who gave Pirro a hard time by keeping the fight for the victory open until the last race. In the end, the ranking is: Pirro 224, Ferrari 196, with 10 races out of 12 conquered by the Barni Racing Team, 8 by Pirro and 2 by Ferrari.
However, it was not easy for Pirro at Vallelunga. Starting from the second position, he firstly had to stop Baiocco’s escape attempt, then, as he took the leadership, he had to handle Vitali who kept trying to steal the victory until the last lap. After the overwhelming victory in race 1 on wet track, San Giovanni Rotondo’s ace proved to have no rivals even in the hand-to-hand competition.
Matteo Ferrari was slowed down by the consequences of yesterday’s fall: the left wrist pain prevented him from pushing and, after a fight against Calia and Bassani, he needed to content with the seventh final position.
This year, we keep being proud to support this winning team and go along with it towards the conquest of a new award!
