The final race of Italian Speed Championship took place last 23 September at the Mugello awarding Michele Pirro as Italian SBK Champion. Pirro, born in 1986, brought the flag of the Barni Racing team riding his Ducati Panigale, in one of the most exciting races of the whole Italian Speed Championship.
An unhappy fall, in fact, cost him a last position. But this did not help the Superbike king from winning the competition. In fact, curve after curve, Pirro earned a 4-second advantage with his Ducati over his opponents, taking on the top positions and conquering the title of Italian SBK Champion. This race was therefore a tough challenge but it ensured the fifth career title for the rider, faithful to Borgo Panigale manufacturer. A competition that kept all Barni Racing team with bated breath until the last minute.
We all in Termignoni feel this victory as one of our greatest achievements: we are very proud of having supported Pirro and the Barni Racing Team together with our historical partner Ducati. It is thanks to these goals that we are more and more committed with our everyday work.
